Aisling's favorite return customer and perhaps, dare she even think it ... friend? Though the relationship is mostly surface level, casual and playful, it reminds the young dreamy of her adventuring days with her old companions, and makes her wonder if such a thing could be possible again.
【Hobbies 】 Gardening: Somnia spends most of her days puttering about in her garden like an old woman, fussing over her plants and talking to them as if they were her own children.
Tea-making: Using the dream dust from her tail to fertilize the soil she grows her tea in, Somnia gives her tea leaves the ability to induce magical sleep. Depending on which tail pouf she uses, the sleep can be dreamless, induce a hypnotic trance, lucid, or prophetic.
Fortune-telling: When Somnia sells someone a batch of her Oracle's Tea, she has them return the next day to share their often confusing and non-sensical dream to help them interpret the complex symbolism and meaning within. She particularly enjoys doing this not just because she likes company, but it's a great way to gather juicy gossip.
Stories: There's nothing Somnia loves more than a good story. Her personal library is cram packed with many more books than she can keep on shelves in her small cottage, all of which she has read more than once, and she doesn't intend to stop collecting even if she has to throw out her bed and sleep on musty tomes. Travellers passing through pay to stay the night in Somnia's cottage with tales of their adventures, and her best friend Demeter has spent more stories than coin to buy Somnia's potions, teas and concoctions.
【Personality】 Lonely: Somnia often reminisces on her past adventures fondly, but her elaborate tales are all tinged with the sadness of knowing that her companions have all moved on without her. Because she is always secretly worried about being left behind again, Somnia is often hesitant to truly open up or form lasting relationships beyond the purely casual.
Accessible: The door to Somnia's quaint but well-kept cottage is always open, with the smell of a freshly brewed pot of tea wafting across her vast gardens. Though she receives few visitors, those who do stop by find her to be generally pleasant, non-judgmental and ready to listen.
Relaxed: Somnia's garden is on a metaphorical island, and behind a literal barrier whose complex illusion doesn't allow those with hostile intent to pass through or even see the gardens, but transports them to the other side without even knowing they were there. This affords her comfort, security, and no unwanted visitors, so her stress level stays pretty low and concerns of the outside world rarely touch her mind more than the stories in old books.
Rustic: Somnia finds most technology to be crude and inelegant, preferring to do most of her work by hand or by magic. Her entire living arrangement is self-sustaining, and although she is probably capable of a much more lavish lifestyle, she prefers the look and feel of simplicity, hard work, and honest craftsmanship.
Absentminded: Due to her care-free lifestyle, and a deluge of past experiences so intense they could fill ten lifetimes even at her tender young age, the days for Somnia tend to run one into the next and she often forgets small things like leaving the kettle on, or when to harvest her crops.
Gullible: Though one would expect a prominent and studied mage like Somnia to be a quick wit, most of her intelligence comes from tomes. Her isolation has cost her much of what most people would call common sense, and the ability to detect even the most obvious deception; for instance, sarcasm often escapes her unless it is explained.
